Jensen Insurance Agency began in 1956 when Bill Jensen Sr. joined Farmers Insurance Group, working as an agent in Dearborn, Michigan. He started by helping local families secure reliable auto, home, and life insurance to protect what mattered most. In 1963, Bill moved his office to Madison Heights to be closer to home, spending more time with his wife and four children while serving the local community.

In 1981, his son, Bill Jensen Jr., joined the agency as a fully licensed agent. Together, they incorporated the business as William G. Jensen Agency Inc., later welcoming Kenny Jensen to the team in 1987.
